Give people the right to make a phone call before arrest

In light of recent tragic events involving serving police officers, we urge the Government to grant all individuals the right to make a call before they are arrested to inform their next of kin or similar of the impending arrest, arresting officer's name and police station they will be taken to.

If people had the right to be able to legally request to inform next of kin of their impending 'arrest', name the officer and tell them where they are going to be taken to, they could be saved from heinous crimes.
