A road test using an Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) device by AutoCar found the system was “slow to respond” on occasions, and the tool was “confused by limits operating on nearby roads” during some parts of their test drive.

An EU Commission report also warned the new ISA could lead to drivers’ “diminished attention” on the road when the system isn’t in use.
