The rate of inflation in the UK is at an all-time high, the ONS released a report showing that inflation has sky-rocketed to 3.2% in August 2021. Throughout the national lockdowns due to Covid-19, students have struggled enough to continue their education and achieve their goals due to the massive operational changes of teaching methods. Currently, student maintenance loan thresholds are not keeping pace with the exponential rise in the cost of living.
