The Government should require local authorities to impose blanket no-smoking zones for 20 metres in all directions outside all our schools.

The health of our children is and should always be paramount
Previous law changes aimed to (a) reduce tobacco advertising (b) reduce the visibility of cigarettes and smoking products and (c) to protect our young people
We are long overdue banning smoking outside schools. Children are at times exposed to cigarettes and cigarette smoke on their way to school, outside and even in their playgrounds.
This is the least we can do to protect our young and impressionable from cigarettes and from smoke.
