The Government should make it a legal requirement for licensed pubs and clubs to use hand held metal detectors to search guests on entry. This should help identify weapons and syringes, and protect the public.

There is a new spiking trend where people are being injected with drugs in clubs. There is little we can do to protect ourselves against this, so pubs and clubs need to be required to take precautions to prevent this.
