Many offenders use a vehicle in connection with committing an offence, such as fly tipping or drug dealing, or it is used to travel to and from the scene of offences such as assaults or distraction burglary.

Creating a new offence of using a motor vehicle in connection with a crime, with restrictions on driving for offenders, would make it harder for offenders to commit further offences.
