In December 2019 Sudan witnessed a popular uprising that lead to the then President being deposed. Since then it has been going through a difficult transition to democracy, derailed by the military and the rapid support forces. We believe this current coup will never be accepted by the people of Sudan and will destabilise further a region already in turmoil.
