It has been estimated that tax avoidance and evasion costs the UK billions of pounds every year. This is money that could help important services, such as our NHS, which is under extreme pressure due to years of underfunding and the Covid pandemic. Any tax recovered could help to level up the disparity of investment between affluent and neglected communities. The rich minority who can afford the top accountants should not benefit from the complex UK tax loop holes.
