Work with the EU to improve animal welfare standards across Europe

Any country that treats animals in this way should not be part of the EU. Try an internet search and see just how heart-breaking these stories are. Some people in these countries lack human kindness.

As part of this work, the Government should engage with the EU to reduce the requirement for them to be rehomed in UK. Many are on the rehoming websites for months if not years and if the laws were looked at and governments held to account, then the problems should reduce.
