The UK Government should give all foreign nationals who have served in the British Armed Forces the right to remain in the UK. Commonwealth ex-servicemen may be eligible for indefinite leave to remain in the UK after 4 years’ service, but must apply for leave to remain after they are discharged.

We believe the Government should automatically grant rights to remain in the UK to all foreign nationals who served in the Armed Forces. This should include those who are currently facing deportation.
These nationals were part of the Armed Forces and have every right to live permanently in the Country they fought to protect.
