Allow HGVs to achieve their legally permitted speed limits, assisting the haulage industry and supporting industries in increasing the productivity of HGVs, and going a small way to decreasing the impact of the HGV driver shortage.

To help to decrease the negative effect the country is facing due to lack of drivers and the detrimental consequences the country is facing with regard to supply chain issues.

In my opinion the raising of the limited HGV speed from 56 to 60 mph will help make HGVs more productive, thus decreasing the impact of driver shortages.
