We believe that the Planning Inspectorate too often overturns local decisions, resulting in outcomes that are not in the best interest of local communities.

Abolishing the Planning Inspectorate, granting new powers to local authorities and creating a new Ombudsman should help ensure that decisions are made in the best interests of local communities, and there is an impartial mediator in the case of disputes.
