Let people on Carer's Allowance transfer their tax allowance to their partner

When a person is on Carer's Allowance they should be able to transfer their personal tax allowance to their partner, to reduce the couple's overall tax burden. It is not fair people are treated as a couple for most benefits, and yet cannot pool tax allowances.

Where one person in a couple assumes a caring role they effectively lose the benefit of their personal tax allowance. This is especially unfair when these people save the Government money in providing care.

Treat us with the respect we deserve, allow us to benefit from our tax allowance by transferring this to their partner.
