NHS Dental Nurses to be entitled to an NHS pension.

NHS Dental Nurses are excluded from the pension scheme whilst they work alongside Dentists who are entitled to it. They feel undervalued by the NHS, second class to their collegues and are leaving the profession in great numbers. Without the nurses there is no NHS dentistry.

Provide all dental nurses with an NHS performer number. This can then be used within an NHS practice to gain access to the pension scheme in the same way their dentist colleagues do. The system is already in place.. it just needs to be extended to the nurses.
