Make university students in England exempt from prescription charges

We want the Government to make prescription medication free for university students in England as we are part of the next generation and we feel that the Government should invest in us. We believe this is particularly important for medication for mental health.

A YouGov survey found that "more than a quarter of students (27%) report having a mental health problem of one type or another". We want the government to invest in our future generation by providing us with free prescriptions while we are at university. Most students are on a budget and the additional expense of prescriptions may effect their ability to afford food for a week etc. It may also cause people to stop taking medication because they cannot afford it.
