I understand that in some cases, such as abuse, it is necessary to remove a child from their home instantly. I do not want this to be prevented. I want legislation governing termination of placement in care to be amended, so that where there is no emergency that requires a child to be removed from their home immediately, the local authority has to give at least one week's notice to allow that child to process what is happening to them and determine what to do next.
