Currently the cost of living, including private rents, is sky rocketing at an incredibly unsustainable rate. Some landlords demand full rent upfront, on-top of a deposit. There is currently no regulatory body that controls rental prices or can stop landlords from making unreasonable demands. Renters need better protection.
