Abolish time limits on common assaults in cases of domestic violence and abuse

Since Domestic Violence is not a specific Criminal Offence, suspects will be investigated for related offences. If the reported abuse is categorised as ‘Common Assault’, there is a six-month time limit for bringing charges. This time limit should be abolished in cases of domestic violence and abuse.
