Increase funding to house and support the homeless

The Government should increase funding to help get people of the streets. This can happen by re-housing the homeless people and offering sessions to help battle addiction, and other challenges they may face, to help them move forward with their lives.

Covid 19 has been especially difficult on homeless people. The lockdowns, social distancing and reduced use of cash has meant fewer people giving money to people on the street.

It is extremely hard for people trapped in homelessness to get a job without help, as without a home address and a bank account it is difficult to earn money.

It is the Government’s responsibility to care for homeless people, and they should step up and improve support for this group.
