Do not require a Energy Performance rating of "C" for private lets after 2025/28

The Government is consulting on a proposal to require a "C" Energy Performance rating for all new privately rented homes from 2025, and all properties from 2028. We believe these requirements should not be implemented.

We want Energy Performance Certificate minimum rating standards, after the year 2025 (for new properties) and 2028 (for all properties), to be kept at the present level and the proposal to have a minimum EPC rating of "C" for all properties, within PRS, to be abandoned!

Many operators, including professionals, within the private rented sector feel, especially in the case of historic homes/old homes, that Government targets for Energy Performance certificates are unobtainable!
