Increase funding so road infrastructure in towns and cities is fit for purpose

Over the past two decades funding for the upkeep of our roads has declined year on year. Our roads are now in such a poor state of repair that if left in the state they are they will end up costing us, the tax payer, even more in repair costs to our roads, cars, bikes and maybe even cost lives.

The government should make it a priority to substantially increase funding to the highways department and local councils to enable them to do a decent job instead of just quick fill in repairs that quickly break down leaving even bigger potholes
