The social care crisis could be helped by having more carers and making sure that carers stay in the job. Current salaries mean that many carers could be better off in another job. If it isn't possible to increase carers' salaries then we must remove their obligation to pay some of their biggest expenses. Council tax is one of the biggest costs after housing and food. The Government should remove council tax liability from any property in which a carer living.
