There are millions of vegetarians and vegans in the UK and that number is constantly growing. It is already compulsory to display nutritional information on pre-packed food, so that principle should be extended to suitability for vegetarians and vegans, to allow them to make informed ethical choices in the supermarket even if ingredients are hidden behind obscure or misleading ingredient names and E numbers.
