The Government should raise the threshold at which people pay the higher rate of income tax bracket (40%) from £50,271 to £80,000.

Raising the higher tax bracket could encourage workers to work more hours or even take a 2nd job to cope with inflation and the higher cost of living, without thinking so much about paying 40% of their hard earned money over the threshold as tax.
