According to the latest figures from ONS, between April 2020 and March 2021, 177 women were murdered in England and Wales, and 416 men. Where the suspect was known - 92% of women were killed by men in the year to March 2021. Anyone can be in a position where they are vulnerable, anyone can be a victim. Everyone deserves to be taught how to defend themselves should they need to.
