Extend regulation of lenders to cover all lenders to businesses

We would like the Government to require any lender, whether lending to individuals or businesses, to be authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Currently only some business to business lending is regulated, which can leave lenders unaccountable, and customers unprotected.

We want all lenders to be required to be authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to offer credit, and only be able to provide regulated agreements. This should ensure that customers are better protected, and lenders more accountable.
