Reform the UK political system to make the PM directly elected by the public

Currently the public have no direct say in who becomes Prime Minister, and six of the last seven Prime Ministers became Prime Minister without even winning a general election. We want the Prime Minister to be directly elected by the public, through a Prime Ministerial election.

Reform the UK political system so that the role of Prime Minister is directly elected by the public.

In the circumstances that a Prime Minister leaves office, for whatever reason, then an immediate Prime Ministerial election should be called to elect their replacement.
