Extend the current period product scheme that provides free period products to girls and women who need them as it does not include girls and women on higher education qualifications, apprentices or women who are staff.

There is currently no universal offer of free period products to girls and women in education. We believe the current scheme should be extended to cover all girls and women in educational settings, including staff, apprentices and higher educational institutions.
Research shows that 40% of girls have used toilet roll because they couldn’t afford period products. Similarly, 49% of girls have missed school because of their period.
This is the future generation that is being affected!
