Legislate to ban discrimination on the grounds of social class

The Government should ban discrimination by social class, in the same way that other characteristics are protected by the Equality Act. It should amend the Equality Act to provide additional legal powers to the Equality and Human Rights Commission to include class discrimination in its mandate.
