I want the government to introduce laws that mean that the law is stricter on sexual assaults, rape and child sexual offences, preferably making all rape, sexual assault and paedophilia cases have a minimum 15 year sentence.

Sexual assault, rape and child sexual offences are far too common and they are not easily proven without going through an incredibly difficult process. I suggest that the government enforce stricter legislation to make these crimes less desirable to commit. I want to increase minimum sentences to deter those who might commit these crimes; the UK has a very high number of reported rapes, I think this shows how our system is flawed and the law isn’t strict enough.
