Run the National Lottery mainly for the benefit of the NHS for at least 5 years

For the next five years we want two thirds of National Lottery proceeds to go to the NHS. The NHS benefits everyone in the UK. Small charities could still benefit from the remaining third. Art and theatre can gain income from other avenues. At the end of 5 years, these arrangements can be reviewed.

The NHS is in crisis through mismanagement and under funding. The Government is short of funds. The National Lottery is an ideal way to get those funds. We believe more people would buy lottery tickets if the NHS was the main beneficiary, and be proud doing it.
