Fund a pay rise for police in line with inflation plus 2% for the next 5 years.

The Government need to help support Police officers, retain officers and to encourage individuals to want to join the police knowing that the salary reflects the risks and demands. Officers should receive pay rises of inflation plus 2% as a minimum rise.

Police officer pay needs a massive pay hike to catch up with the cost of living, to retain over the past decade. In 2022 many officers received below 5% a pay rise.

In some recent months more officers are leaving/retiring than are being recruited, and moral in many forces is extremely low. Some officers are now having to use food banks and seek financial support from relatives. Officers have stood by your side throughout Covid, and as other public sector roles strike. Enough is enough! Support the police as they do you.
