Authorise school staff to take enforcement action against illegal parking, to help them better control traffic at pickup and drop-off and ensure a safer environment for children and families.
Currently many school staff are left to manage parking difficulties at pickup and drop off, often facing abuse or being peace keeper between parent and resident disputes in more built up areas.
Giving them powers take enforcement action against illegal parking would mean they were better able to fulfil this role. This should also reduce the burden on full time wardens and provide an additional revenue stream to the local councils.
