Increase the High Income Child Benefit Charge threshold in line with inflation

In 2013 the High Income Child Benefit Charge was introduced, with the target of recuperating child benefit paid to families where one or more parents were classed as 'high earners'.

At this time, £50,000 was deemed as the lower threshold for a high earner. In 2023, this limit remains unchanged despite inflation.

As a result the current HICBC penalises working families who no longer fall within the 'high earner' category.
