Domestic pets are extremely loving and comforting companion animals that helped many owners to overcome a great deal of personal trauma linked to the pandemic, such as loneliness, the loss of family and friends and worsening health issues. We believe it would be immoral for a single domestic pet to be killed, whatever the circumstances. We now need legislation to prevent this possibility of domestic pets being killed due to a national emergency.
