Review availability of affordable housing and take action to improve this

Affordable housing is not obtainable to too many people, including people who need to be rehomed in an emergency. This is very well known but not enough is being done to rectify this. We want the Government to conduct a full review of access to affordable housing, and take action to improve this.

I had a house fire on 31 January. My family and I are still in emergency accommodation (B&B) with little to no communication with our housing case worker. It appears that there is a particular issue with availability of larger affordable homes, which I am in need of.

If the availability of affordable housing was improved, this should also make it easier for people experiencing emergencies to access a new home more quickly.
