Make it a legal requirement that fathers are listed on a birth certificate

We want the Government to make it a legal requirement for fathers to be listed on a birth certificate when a birth is registered. We believe too many fathers are excluded when a birth is registered, which means they do not have parental responsibility for their child.

We believe this country is currently suffering an epidemic of Fatherless children. Fathers are an important part in the raising of children, and too often can be excluded from their lives through no fault of their own. We believe it is a child's right to know who their father is.
