Investigate the legality of pushing back boats seeking to enter the UK illegally

Many people voted Brexit to take control of our borders. Yet we believe the Government has not taken sufficient action. We want the Government to investigate potential use of UN convention Law & Seas article 33 to allow pushbacks out of our waters, to prevent boats entering UK waters illegally.

I believe that Article 33 might be exercised to stop boats at the point of our territorial water if they are seeking to enter the UK illegally. Asylum claims can only be made in designated places, all of which are on the territory or landmass of the UK. The UK Government should investigate the legality of using UN convention rights to pushback boats entering UK waters illegally.
