Require full sick pay for staff with long-term health issues, such as cancer

Employers should be required to pay employees their full salary, including any additional payments that they have been getting for at least 3 months, if they need time off for a long-term health condition, such as cancer. This would allow them to receive treatment and recover without losing income.

I am now experiencing how it is for a cancer patient to feel when they are recovering from cancer surgery and going on to have treatment. It is already a very difficult time to go through, and the stress of money worries should not be at the forefront of people's minds at this time. By having this requirement in place it gives every employee a little peace of mind to know that they will receive full pay while they receiving treatment or in recovery.
