Remove provisions for a Hydrogen Production Levy from the Energy Security Bill

The Energy Security Bill includes provisions for the introduction of a Hydrogen Production Levy, which would increase energy costs for households. This is not acceptable during a cost of living crisis where people are already struggling to heat their homes or put the lights on.

We believe a Hydrogen Production Levy would be a stealth tax that would add to energy poverty. The Government knows people have been struggling, but seem to be prioritising reaching "net zero" over people being able to afford to live in their own homes.
