Investigate the use of the Children Act 1989 to take children into care

This investigation should shed light on any systemic issues, gaps in support services, or potential biases that may be contributing to the number of children being taken into care or being adopted. By launching this investigation, the Government ca demonstrate a commitment to upholding the rights of families and ensuring best interests of children are truly prioritized.

It is imperative that we strive for a fair system that provides support and alternatives, preventing unnecessary separations and promoting the overall wellbeing of children and birth families
