Provide funding for additional policing of road traffic offences

We want the Government to provide funding to recruit and train additional police to take enforcement action in respect of road traffic offences, including pavement cycling, illegal e-scooter use, and using motorcycles on footpaths. The law must be enforced in order for it to be taken seriously.

Many road traffic offences, such as cycling or using an e-scooter on the pavement, are commonplace, yet there appears to be little enforcement action to tackle these offences. These offences can put pedestrians in danger, and police should be taking action to prevent this.
