Introduce tax relief for immigration and visa fees

I'm a skilled worker with a foreign passport and have extended my visa four times in the last three years, paying hundreds of pounds of my taxed income to the Government. I believe there should be tax relief for these fees, so tax paid can be reclaimed on immigration and visa fees.

Lot of money is paid to the Home office for visa extension or settlement. Current skilled worker application costs £624 to £1423 with an additional health surcharge of £624 for most visa holders. Indefinite leave to remain applications cost £2404 per person. This sum is usually paid from their salary or income that is already taxed. Hence we believe there should be tax relief for these fees, so that tax paid can be claimed back from HMRC.
