Enhance statutory maternity pay and leave for parents with multiple births

Raising twins or triplets in this country can be extremely difficult given the childcare cost. Therefore, I urge the Government to reform maternity pay entitlements to increase statutory leave and pay entitlements for parents with multiple births.

I'm a new parent of twin boys and due to personal financial circumstances I had to return to work in 9 months as my firm only pays 26 weeks enhanced maternity pay and remaining is SMP/unpaid.

I appreciate the Government for introducing drastic changes to childcare but there is a lot more to be done for the health and mental wellbeing of new parents especially those who are working and have twin or triplet babies.
