The present system is time consuming and complicated and we believe it should be simplified, and current assessments replaced with consideration based on medical evidence alone, such as letters from a GP or consultant.

We believe the current process is unfair and invasive, and that this change would reduce the number of appeals and tribunal cases, and reduce costs because there would be no need for assessments, which the Government spends hundreds of millions of pounds on a year.
