By apologising for what we see as the UK’s share of responsibility historically for the situation that gave rise to violence which continues to affect both sides in the conflict, we hope the Government will begin a process that we believe can help not only to unite the people of the United Kingdom, but also bolster our moral standing internationally to achieve a two-state solution in accordance with UK foreign policy to the lasting benefit of all who consider Israel & Palestine their homeland.
