Abolish vehicle tax and replace it with a additional 3% tax on the fuel

We strongly believe that it is time to re-evaluate the current system of vehicle tax and propose an alternative solution that is more fair and efficient. We propose replacing the vehicle tax with a 3% tax on the total price per litre of fuel.

By implementing this new tax system, the burden of taxation would be shifted to those who use vehicles and consume fuel, rather than all vehicle owners. This means that individuals who rarely use their vehicles or those who use alternative transportation methods would pay less tax, while those using their vehicles more frequently would pay proportionally more. This new tax would encourage individuals to opt for more fuel-efficient vehicles, as the cost of fuel would directly impact their expenses. This would incentivise the use of greener methods of transportation and contribute to reducing carbon emissions and air pollution.
