Exclude benefits from financial assessments for contributions to social care

We want the Government to require benefits to be excluded from financial assessments to determine what contribution someone has to make to the cost of their social care. We believe people should be entitled to keep the full amount of any benefits they receive.

The Government should allocate more funding to make up any additional costs to local authorities, to ensure adequate care is provided. We believe this is essential to uphold the human rights of care users and ensure access to necessary care without an unreasonable financial burden.
