Laws pertaining to animal safety and conservation are topical in 2024, and may fall in line with the trend of revisiting outdated and inaccurate legislation. We think this act is outdated and needs to be reviewed and changed to reflect its practical purpose. Having species arbitrarily restricted can have a negative impact on both conservation and potential economic benefits.
