I think that NHS staff should be given more training on mental health and how to better support people with mental health illnesses. We believe additional knowledge is essential, and that all doctors and Nurses should have this. I think patients would benefit if Doctors and Nurses were better trained on how to identify risk factors, early warning signs etc. and how to listen, reassure and respond to those with mental health issues, as well as how to intervene in a crisis situation and stop it from happening.
